Winter is Here!

It's hard to believe, but winter is once again upon us and snow is right around the corner. Now is the time to prepare your vehicle for freezing temperatures. Replacing your wiper blades and investing in quality snow tires will go a long way when winterizing your vehicle. Also, keeping a small bag of fine gravel or sand in your trunk may save you a call to Vincent's for a winch-out! Give us a call or stop by for more tips and info about winterizing your car or truck this season.

July Mamaroneck Shares Block Party

Our second "Mamaroneck Shares" Block Party was held on July 29th and was another huge success. Initial estimates for attendees were in the thousands! Most local merchants set up booths for retail, tables and chairs for outdoor dining, and stages for live music. Other businesses set up fund raising games and contests to raise money for Mamaroneck charities. One of the attractions was a dunk-tank set up right in the middle of Mamaroneck Avenue with the Mayor himself getting dunked! We also have some incriminating pictures of our own bossman, Tony, getting dunked.

Once again, Vincent Service Station took part in the festivities and fund-raising. Aside from selling snacks and water, we held a raffle for free gas and held a tow-truck coloring contest. Children (and some adults :-) got a chance to design their own tow-trucks and attach their work to one of our Heavy-Duty wreckers. All of the finished drawings and designs are posted in our office for everyone to see. Come in and take a look!

Mamaroneck Shares - A Success!

Thanks to everyone who came down and supported our first "Mamaroneck Shares" Block Party. The event was a huge success and much of the proceeds raised will be donated to local Mamaroneck charities. Hundreds of patrons made their way up Mamaroneck Avenue, enjoying 4 live bands, games, drink specials, and dining in the street. Vincent Garage's popcorn and refreshment stand was also a success thanks to Larry, Anthony, Nancy, Sara, Antonella, AJ, and Vin. Also, thanks to Tony and Craig for volunteering to drive the shuttle bus from Harbor Island. The next event will be on Thursday, July 29th, and will be even bigger and better than this month's. Be on the lookout for a "Dunk the Mayor" dunk-tank!

Giving a Little Back

On Friday, April 23, Vincent Garage attended the Community Service Day at the Jewish Community Center in Scarsdale. Thanks to the organizational efforts of Sgt. Chris Pellegrini of the Scarsdale Police Department, the event had a great turnout of police and fire vehicles, municipal maintenance trucks, and two of our wreckers.

The JCC made the day available to its students to familiarize them with the faces behind emergency services in their community. The children had the opportunity to see police motorcycles, a fire truck, an ambulance, two of our tow trucks, and even a village loader.

All in all it was a great morning and a good time was had by all. Vincent Garage would like to extend our thanks to the Scarsdale JCC, the Scarsdale Police Department, and all of the people involved in making this a special day for our community's children.

Officer Neil visits Vincent Garage.

We are very lucky to have some really great customers at Vincent Garage. Recently, one of our long-time customers, Neil, who is somewhat of a local celebrity, popped in to say hello. Neil is a highly trained Police Officer, an experienced Narcotics Agent, and...oh yeah...a German Shepherd!
Partnered with K-9 Officer Frank Maresca of the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department, this dynamic duo is a key element to keeping our community safe.
